Next National Zoom Meeting, July 5th, 9 pm East / 6 pm West.
The next National SDA Zoom meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 pm West.
“Draft AOC 2024” or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for President.
The number of people willing to work to get AOC on the ballot is slowly growing. The current goal is to get two activists per state ready to read and analyze the Democratic Party Delegate Selection Plan.
Once the map is filled up with two or three delegates in each state, all green, then I will approach the media to ask that she create an Exploratory committee.
As Justin Buell rightly wrote on the Draft AOC Move On page:
The Working Class deserves a place at the Chicago Convention. Joe Biden does not represent working-class interests, so we need a candidate — and delegates — to push for a platform that reflects the interests of Americans left behind by the political elite.
We are organizing a Zoom each Wednesday at different times. We are starting on 7/5 at 7 pm Central, 7/12 at 7 pm Eastern, 7/19 at 7 pm Pacific, 7/26 at 7 pm Hawaii, 8/2 at 7 pm Alaska, and 8/9 at 7 pm Mountain time.
If you want to help organize, please take some time to join one of those Zoom meetings.
New York City Municipal election results.
(when I write Liberal, I refer to the Liberal International definition: https://liberal-international.org .)
The Democratic voters did not come and as Mara Gay, a member of the New York Time editorial board, writes:
failed to produce a single meaningful piece of legislation on housing this year, for example, even though the housing crisis is clearly the most urgent issue facing New York. But will voters show up at the polls and express anger about this inaction? The usual Albany calculus is: Nah.
raise rents in thousands of regulated apartments.
The biggest turnout was 11,049 voters to replace Socialist Kristin R. Jordan in Harlem. The winner, Dr. Yusef Salaam, is a Liberal.
The lowest turnout was 2,985 voters in the Bronx, where the incumbent won with 76.15 % of the votes or 2,273 voters.
Paperboy Love Prince lost their race 81% to 18%. The Amazon Labor Union President Chris Small endorsed Paperboy Prince over 46% to 18.07% at the last minute.

Other candidates that participated in the SDA meetings were also running. They were not SDA-endorsed but ran with a Socialist platform. They also did cross the 15% threshold.
We won’t reveal their names because we do not want these candidates to be ostracized.
The Spanish elections and what it means for the Worldwide Socialist movement.
On May 28th, our Socialist International president Pedro Sanchez’s party, the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, lost six of the nine regional governments we Socialists controlled.
Pedro Sanchez called for a snap election on July 23rd.
For us, SDA, we need to hold our breath. Having the president of the Socialist International be the president of the European Union is an excellent way to showcase the positive outcome of Socialists policies.
If you meet Spanish citizens in the United States who are leftists, remind them that they can vote from abroad.
I will share the Jacobin analysis.
My invitation by the COPPPAL and the Progressive Alliance.
I had the pleasure of going to Mexico, invited by the COPPPAL and the Progressive Alliance to present our strategy to unite all the Socialists forces in the United States.
José Alberto Aguilar Iñárritu, VP of the COPPPAL, reports on the North American progressive movement.
Recruitment letter I sent to every New York District Leader.
This year, the goal is to recruit as many Socialists as we can to grow the movement so we can find as many candidates as possible.
In solidarity,
Hasta la victoria, ¡siempre!
