What is a Harrington Style Meeting?

It’s a meeting where we get together and plot how to take over the government with pens. Yes! We are just a bunch of radicals plotting around drinks, laughter, and good spirits.

We will collect the required signatures to get our names on the ballot and convince our neighbors to elect us at every municipal level election; School Board, the local Special District zone, and the Local Party Leadership.

It’s one meeting a month!

My meeting with various Vice Presidents of the Presidium at the United Nations.

This month was the 67th meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women. I got to meet with various Vice Presidents of the Socialist International presidium and discuss SDA. We discussed the ridiculousness of some of our United States lawmakers, such as those who voted the House Concurrent Resolution #9 denouncing the horrors of Socialism.

It is always a lot of fun. I have to admit the Republicans give us a lot of comic material. At least it’s a great icebreaker. They also reminded me that the European Parliament voted in 2019 the resolution on the importance of European remembrance for the future of Europe, which

The only person I could not welcome in person was Benedicta Lasi, the Socialist International Secretary General. Our great immigration system did not issue a visa in time for her to participate in the United Nations Women’s conference.

It’s the first time in the last 100 years we could welcome our Comrades using the Socialist label without any fear of persecution or of being tailed by the CIA or the FBI. COINTEL PRO is history, but …

Everyone should know that the collective goal: recruit 1,776 electable democrats in the Manhattan County Committee between March 1st and March 31st. On April 6th, when all the signatures will be turned on and counted, we’ll know what our will influence inside the Manhattan Democratic Party.

NOT enough to change the New York Democratic party.

I hoped that Bernie and AOC would speak up, but they have yet to. They all ask we donate money to their cause, but ultimately, their cause stays the same. We are where we were a year ago, five years, or thirty years ago. I consider it political opportunism.

The problem is that many people need to receive those emails because they directly go into the spam box. We have to email them continuously.

Social Democrats of America (SDA) is THE left.

I know I get many people irritated when I write that SDA is THE left, but it’s true. I am not going to apologize. It doesn’t matter what our electoral score is; the stance of the Socialist Party defines everything.

Every year, a different group of leaders shares the common ideal.

It will NOT happen.

Our Revolution, Justice Democrats, Democracy aT Work, The Young Turks, Democratic Socialist of America, Progressive Democrats of America, The Progressive Caucus, Indivisible, Social Democrats USA, The Working Familly, Swing Left, True Blue, etc., and as I visit each one of them, I see the same people going from one organization to the next.

These organizations and their political candidates have collected billions of dollars in donations with nothing to show, only backward. Except for gay marriage, we have gone back. In 2022, we got interracial marriage as a byproduct of gay marriage.

SDA, in three years, with $3,000, got a roll-call, the publication of the bylaws of the Democratic party posted on the local democratic party, and a minor rule change that will change everything once we get more than 1,000 members to run for County Committee in Manhattan.

In SDA, the membership votes on a platform and then elect the leader to make the platform a reality. In all the American organizations listed above, the membership votes on a leader with a platform. People leave the organization because they don’t like their leader.

In Socialist organizations, comrades leave the organization because the platform went either too liberal or too centralized, but they do not join the organization because of the leader.

That little change took effect somewhere between 1930 to 1950, which is why the movement thrived for that long. When a leader strays from the movement, they disappear over time.

SDA’s bylaws are the French Bylaws, so SDA is suitable for the next 100 years.
